The Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Ltd (RIICO) is the sole government agency in the State involved in development of land for industrial enterprises. Large, medium and small-scale projects get an easy access to a ready -to- use base with supportive infrastructure facilities in the industrial areas, developed and managed by RIICO.
The financial and vital infrastructure facilities provided by RIICO has contributed to promoting accelerated growth of industrial sector in the State. Since its inception in 1969, has emerged as a multi-faceted and dynamic institution .It has kept pace with the industrialisation process in providing complete and innovative means of financial and investment support services.

RIICO has played a catalytic role in the industrial development of Rajasthan.

RIICO maintains an industrial Data Bank since 1975. Maintaining this Data Bank is one of the most important activities of RIICO.

It is a place, which houses a shelf of industrial projects. It maintains on its shelves project profiles/reports/techno-economic feasibility reports/market surveys on various industrial products. There are industrial potential surveys of all districts of Rajasthan. Information on status of various industrial sectors and market potential in the country is present in the form of comprehensive notes. Apart from these, there are handbooks, directories, technology status reports etc. It has on its shelves more than 3500 such reports/publications. More than 1200 of these have been procured in the last 5 years.

Data Bank maintains a list of 182 identified projects, which could be implemented in the State of Rajasthan. Project profiles on each of these projects are available. Identification of new viable and potential projects is an ongoing activity culminating in the preparation of project reports through reputed consultants in the respective fields. Project reports on quite a good number of above projects are available for reference.

Technology sourcing is a recent addition in the Data Bank's activities. Technology has been sourced for 90 odd projects from sources, which include national laboratories, and world-renowned companies. Some technologies out of the above can be sourced through reputed organisations of national/international level for technology transfer.
