 BIKANER 

The city was founded in 1486 A.D by the Rathore prince, Rao Bikaji, hence the name Bikaner. The Desert City is characterised by its beautiful sandstone architecture. Some of the highlights are the Deshnoke temple is where rats are allowed privileged passage and the Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum is a small museum and has a large collection of pre-Harappan, Gupta, Kushan pottery. A stroll down the King Edward Memorial road and inside Kote Gate will reveal the shopping pleasure in Bikaner. The city has an extreme desert type of climate with high temperature difference and low rainfall. The best season to visit Bikaner between October and March.

 UDAIPUR 

The city was founded in 1567 by Maharana Udai Singh. Udaipur was last of the numerous Mewar capitals. Udaipur is known as the 'city of lakes', the three most scenic and famous lakes of the city are lake Pichola, Udai Sagar and lake Fateh Sagar. The City Palace, Lake Palace, Sahelion - Ki - Bhag, Jagdish Temple and many others are some of Udaipur's intresting sightseeing spots. Shopping can be a pleasure at the Hathipole, Chetak circle, Clock tower, Palace road and Bapu Bazaar.

 MOUNT ABU 

Mount Abu
is Rajasthan's only hill station at 1200 metres above sea level, it is the highest point of the Aravali range. Situated 2 miles north of Mt. Abu are the exquisite Jain temples, particularly the breathtaking Dilwara group of temples which date back to the 11th and 13th centuries. Mt. Abu is as old as the Himalayas, it was named after Arbuda, a mighty serpent. In the centre of Mt. Abu is a small lake called 'Nakki Lake', on the lake is a dilapidated concrete boat shaped snack bar. Mount Abu has been home to many sages and saints, most famous of them was Sage Vashishtha.

 JAISALMER 

Jaisalmer
is located in the heart of the Thar Desert and is the home of Bhatti Rajputs.
Desert Festival,
held every year in January-February is a major event and attracts tourists from all over the globe. The golden - hued Jaisalmer Fort 'Sonar Kila', Manak Chowk, Gadsisar Sagar Tank, and three exquisitely carved Jain Temples dedicated to the Jain Tirthankaras - Rikhabdevji and Sambhavnathji are some of the reminders of the past splendour of the city. The main shopping areas are Sadar Bazaar and Sonaron Ka Bas, Manak Chowk and Pansari Bazaar. Jaisalmer is famous for mirror work embroidered articles. The best time to visit from October to February.

 JODHPUR 

Located at the periphery of the Thar desert, Jodhpur is one of the most distinctive princely settlements of Rajasthan. The old Jodhpur city is surrounded by a 10 Km long wall with eight gates as entrances and the new city is around this walled area. The city's genuis of its sculptors comes to life in its exquisite Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, and Jaswant Thada. The Sadar Market near the clock tower is a well known shopping area. The best season to visit the city is between October and March.

 AJMER 

Ajmer
has a blend of Sufi culture and Hindu religion. The annual Urs Festival at Ajmer is held on a grand scale and attracts pilgrims from all over the world irrespective of their caste and religion. Some intresting places are the Royal Palace of Akbar that has been converted into a museum and today it houses a rich collection of Mughal and Rajput armoury, Adhai-Din-Ka Jhonpara, one of the finest example of Indo-Islamic architecture, no two pillars are alike in this mosque. The best season to visit this place is between October and March Ajmer has a typical desert type of climate.
