B G Sharma
B G Sharma is a renowned painter, who is dedicated
to the traditional form of paintings in India, based on Mughal,
Kishangarh and Kangra paintings. He hails from
Nathdwara the holy town of Rajasthan , where temple
complex of Shrinathji is situated.
Sharma's painting have been included in the famous art collection
in Germany, France, America, Belgium, Switzerland, Japan,
Italy, Holland, Shri Lanka, Saudi Arabia & Kuwait. He
was also selected by the Govt.of India as a participant in
India Festival Programme held in Washington.
He laid the foundation for the unique art museum "A
ZENITH OF ART" in Udaipur under the banner of B.G.Sharma
Art Gallery to exhibit his pieces of art to the art lovers
.
He won various awards like ' National Award for Master
Craftsman,' 'Art Directors Award' from the American Institute
of Graphic Arts and 'Maharana Sangram Singh ' award
by Maharana Foundation. He is also the recipient of Merit
certificate awarded by the board of Handicrafts, New Delhi
in 1980. Sharma also participated in India Promotion programme
held in West Germany during April-May 1985. The Central
Independent Television Pic. Company, Central House, Broad
Street, Birmingham (England) also interviewed him in the studio
& published an article about him in their journal.
He presented Indira Gandhi, the then Prime minister
of India her portrait at Mumbai in 1971. He also presented
a beautiful painting to Sir Malcam Frazer, Prime Minister
of Australia during his visit to Udaipur in 1981.
