Indian Institute of Quality Management has been set up under Standardization, Testing Quality Certification Directorate of Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. Of India. The STQC programme is aimed at assisting the industries in Quality improvement by providing Testing, Calibration, Training & other related services, through a network of 21 centres all over the country. IIQM, set up under Indo-German Technical Co-operation project, provides training & counseling to the industries and user departments in the area of Quality Management & Human Resource Development (HRD). Since its inception in year 1993-94, IIQM has provided counseling to more than 100 organizations, both in manufacturing as well as in services sectors. During this period, institute has trained more than 7000 participants from industries all over the country & abroad, in the disciplines of Quality and HRD.

IIQM's Quality Policy is centered around in Serving and delighting clients through empowered trainers & counselors. IIQM perceives its role in facilitating the industry in adapting principles of Quality Management. IIQM has team of dedicated & empowered trainers , who are constantly in touch with industries to understand their needs in delivering quality products. Training & Counseling Services designed by IIQM, based on sound principle of HRD & aimed at building "Understanding", "Adapting", "Institutionalizing" continuously improving systems, for the industries, both in manufacturing and as well as in service sector
