With non-communicable diseases, including heart failure, becoming a major cause of deaths in the country, cardiologists have decided to introduce a yearly "Meet the Masters," as part of a continuing medical education program for the heart experts.

The first edition of the program will be held in Jaipur from Saturday.
Dr Sanjeeb Roy, convener of the event said, "Given the rapid pace of change in scientific development and medical practice in cardiology, it has become imperative to continuously update our knowledge. In this regard, 'Meet the Masters' has been conceived to bridge the gap between knowledge and practice. Faculty of international and national eminence will get together to interact freely and share their experience during the program."
