The Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) is getting bigger by the year and the coming edition has a lot of surprises in store. The festival this time would not allow any casual walk-ins and every visitor would have to be registered, which will be free of cost.

According to Sanjoy Roy, Teamworks, organizer, "We have introduced an online registration system on the JLF website. In order to tackle the large numbers of visitors, every visitor will have to register. Every attendee will have to carry a photo identity to the venue."
The online registration portal has been created by Kyazoonga. Additionally, there is also going to be bar-coding on each pass. Though a registration counter will be in place at the venue, it is advised to get an online pass to avoid long queues, sources said.
"Also, no vehicles will be allowed up to Diggi and will have to be parked at the Maharaja College across the road. The road leading up to the venue would also have barricading for the VIPs to walk through," said a source.
Diggi Palace would also be adding 30% additional space to the existing venue.
"The session timings would be slightly altered as well so people get a breather between consecutive sessions. More cafes would be available to hang out," said Sanjoy.
The evening music concerts this time, unlike the previous years, will be ticketed. A nominal fee of Rs 200 is has been decided, he said.
Also, keeping in with the festive spirit of the literary extravaganza, there will be welcome and facilitation counters at airports and train stations for the first time.
